SHOW CLASSES and CATEGORIES ( RULES )

MASTER and SPECIAL AWARDS

SPECIAL: Jack Davis Pick, Budd Anderson, Bob Wagner Memorial,

MASTERS: Best of Show, Best Engine, Best Detail, Best Interior, Best Paint

JUDGING

This show is critically judged.

Judges will look for the following criteria, Cleanliness, Quality of Build, Paint Quality.

Models entered will be the sole effort of the entrant!

Any work done by an outside source will be considered a team build and not eligible for competition.

 

COMMERCIAL: Vehicles intended for specific Business or Civic uses. Must have Municipal, Company markings plates.

COMPETITION: Formula, Indy, Sprints,Road Race, IMSA,Rally or any other open or closed wheeled competition vehicle.

NASCAR and Drag racing vehicles have separate classes (see below).

CURBSIDE: This class will be judged on paint, stance, and execution. No engine, chassis or interior will be judged . Blacked out windows and foiling and decals are allowed. Judging will be based on table view only.

CURBSIDE PLUS: Same as CURBSIDE with the addition of one more detail feature (Example, Detailed engine OR Interior only) . Judging will be based on table view only.

CUSTOM: Custom cars of all years. Judges will look for build quality of modifications. Can include show display bases.

DIORAMA: Any type of display including a figure in action or a scene with a story. Diorama should tell a story.

DRAG RACE: Funny cars, Pro Stocks, Dragsters, Super Stocks, Fuel Alters, Bonneville, Or any other Drag vehicle.

FACTORY STOCK: A car as delivered from the factory and is not limited as far as detail items. Cars will be judged on correctness and quality. Reference material provided by builder will help judges in making their decision.

JUNIORS: 5 years old to 16 years old. Any category, car, motorcycle, or truck, can compete in this class. Builder has the options of competing in regular classes.

LARGE SCALE: scales above 1/24 scale, Any category, car, motorcycle, or truck, can compete in this class.

LOWRIDER A: Any pre 1959 ( including 1959) Car or truck. Car should reflect the LOWRIDER essence.

LOWRIDER B: 1960 through 1969 LOWRIDER Car or Truck.

LOWRIDER C: 1970 through the present LOWRIDER Car or Truck. Traditional or Euro, years 1970 through present.

MISCELLANEOUS: Must be automotive relative. Included automotive engine powered vehicles.

MILITARY NON-TRACK: Any wheeled military vehicle, (1/24, 1/32, 1/35, 1/43 Scales.

MODIFIED DIE CAST: Metal Die Cast models of any scale (1/43, 1/32, 1/24, 1/25, 1/8 )and category, at least 30% modified.

NASCAR/ NASTRUCK: all Grand National, Winston Cup, and NASTRUCKS.

OUT OF THE BOX: Must be built using only the parts that were included in the kit or as directed on the instructions.Instructions must be provided. Alterations include, Decals, Paint, and Bare Metal Foil only! This class is to "high-light" builder's technique and skill.

PACIFIC RIM RACERS: Street/Stock-Drag, Acura, Honda, Hyundai, Infinitf, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota and others. Must have treaded tires. (1/20, 1/24, 1/32, Scales)

SMALL SCALE: All Scales below 1/25 scale ( 1/32, 1/43, 1/87 ) any category.

STREET MACHINE/ PRO STREET: Muscle cars (Corvettes, Mustangs, Cudas, GTOs,AMXs, and alike) Pro Street cars must have treaded tires and tubs.

STREET RODS: Street rods, all street driven cars 1954 or before. Traditional and High Tech, open or closed wheel.

IF THERE IS A SPECIAL DETAIL, PLEASE PLACE A MIRRORED DISPLAY,

JUDGES WILL ONLY HANDLE MODELS IF SPECIFIC APPROVAL IS GIVEN.

ALL DECISIONS BY JUDGES ARE FINAL
